The Mini is out. After your advices and some online research, the Mini is probably going to give me more headache than the Asspat. So this is option numero 2, a V60 R-Design FWD, any advices? What does OPPO say? Volvo Techs help plez.
Actual car looks exactly like this, in this shade of red with a black interior.

I know people will say eh you dont need AWD, but having had a WRX and a Focus (SEL) FWD sucks.

Whats a fwd R-Design have for power? Inline 5? The 250hp in my friends C30 feels real good.

I know, but the only AWD version is the super rare 3.0T T6.

This. Nobody notices the AWD until it stops working. Then all you get is torque steer.

Me too, if only I could find one in Smurf Blue

Same power, one less cylinder. Why not? Not going to sound quite as good but thats not really the point of a Volvo wagon.

I’ve been in a few Volvos. The V60 T5 would be high on my list if shopping for a new car.

The fwd volvos are very capable. And you really only have awd in limited traction with a front bias anyway. For the overall cost savings for gas maintenance and initial list price, unless it snows a lot in your area awd is not a need.
